This painting is homage to the things that I did to help me with my mental health; the things, mindsets, practices and habits that in accumulation became in some sort, my knight in shining armour.
At the heart of this was my writing practice; developing an inner voice and monologue that could withstand storms weather brain fog and keep calm. Within the think oil paint there are snippets of text carved into the paint, as well as written at random places around the painting. Snipped of things I would say to myself or repeat almost like a mantra.
The original painting is 100 x 150 cm, oil and spray paint on canvas.
