The painting consists of layers and layers and layers. Much of the first layers are brushstrokes and paint smears in unreadable writing. No words, but the intention of telling a story. The skull has been painted, overpainted and painted again, before finally fading into the background. 

It became a sort of journal, a story without words.

The painting has been varnished with a UV resistant varnish.

Although I take care to only use professional and lightfast paints, I recommend avoiding hanging the painting in an area without direct sunlight.
