Oil paintings - Personal Work

Artist statement:

"My visual language is inspired by fairytales and myths, elevating the composition to a sort of dream world. I want to draw the viewer into the world of the painting, and for them to make it their own by creating their own story. To step in with their imagination to a world filled with possibility. To create stories and questions that reflect the universal qualities of the human experience".

ABSTRACT & TONE POEM SERIES

The Tone Poem series is a collection of Abstract Paintings meant to be a sort of visual poem of colours. The blending, interplay and contrast between colours, texture, layers, tempo of the brush strokes all play along side one another to communicate a certain tune to be listened too. Kind of like an abstract dance within the paint. I like to call it the painters answer too the writers stream of consciousness.
